A Gloucestershire Big Band playing jazz, swing, latin and dance music

We are a friendly band who perform the fantastic music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Ted Heath, Antonio Jobim etc.

The band is going from strength to strength under the new leadership of our Musical Director Tessa Frye. We attract some high calibre musicians, singers and soloists and are proud to put on a good show.

Available for concerts, private parties, dances and functions.

The current band line-up is typically:

4 x trumpets
4 x trombones
5 x saxophones
piano, guitar, bass and drums

About Glevum Big Band

We love to play concerts for charities and good causes in and around Gloucestershire. Hiring a five piece band for a wedding or event can cost around £1,000. Hiring a big band of 18 musicians could easily cost much more.

We appreciate that this is out of the reach of many people and most small charities. GBB is run as a non profit organisation - please contact us and we can provide a quote for your private party or event.

If you are a local charity we may be able to play for a token amount to cover our costs or even for free on some occasions, as we like to support our local community. Get in touch and we will see what we can do.
